F. M. Caine & Sons are currently looking for an enthusiastic motivated Slaughterhouse Operative to join our ever-growing team. F.M. Caine & Sons are a successful family run based in Knighton, based in Mid Wales, well known for the collection and disposal of fallen stock from our agricultural sector and supplying feed to local safari parks, zoos, and hunt kennels.
We are looking for a Slaughterhouse Operative who will be based at our site in Knighton, Mid Wales. The working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and 8am-12pm every other Saturday. Some flexibility will be required as finish times may vary depending on the work load.

Handling fallen stock animals collected from farms and transported to our facility for processing
Ensure all hides are removed from appropriate animals. following all legal requirements.
Process all appropriate carcasses for feed following all legal requirements.
Performing TES testing on Bovine and ovine in conjunction with our onsite training.
Handling waste products according to company policy and legal requirements.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out correctly and presented in a transparent and effective way.
Compliance with company policy regarding health and safety
Unload and weigh box vehicles in a timely manner.
Other general duties
The ideal candidate would have experience driving a telehandler within a Knackers yard or Slaughterhouse, but this is not essential as training can be provided
Previous experience in humane slaughter preferred
In possession of a Slaughter Man's licence (WATOK) preferred
Location: Knighton, Powys – due to location transport is essential
